Decide what matters most
Pick your top three priorities together, such as food, photography or music, and put more of your budget there. It becomes much easier to trim everything else.
Typical spending split
Venue and catering usually take the largest share, followed by photography and video, attire, flowers and décor, and entertainment. Keep 5 to 10 percent aside for surprises.
Remember tax and tips
Canadian quotes often exclude GST or HST and gratuities. Always ask whether a price is before or after tax so there are no surprises.
